Coronavirus (COVID-19): An update from Financial Solutions Wales
            
As you will appreciate, the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a fast-moving and unprecedented situation and one that we are monitoring very carefully. As we continue to do this, we want to reassure you that we are well prepared for such incidents and have made plans to ensure our services are uninterrupted and that any impact is minimised.  

As we manage the challenges raised by COVID-19, we are posting this to inform you that as a responsible employer we will be implementing working from home procedures immediately.

However, we’d like to assure you that we open for business as usual.

Our systems and processes have been designed and developed for service continuity. With our team all set up to work remotely, they can deal with calls, emails and video conferencing exactly as we would in the office. So, existing clients should see no tangible difference in the service you receive from us. The advice we provide will continue to be delivered, although timescales may be longer as we wait for other firms, who also may be low on staff resources, to provide the information we may need.

Our priority is to protect our colleagues and to provide continuity of service to our clients. We have a very robust Business Continuity Plan in place to ensure the minimum interruption to our clients and our continued service to them.

As a precaution, we’ve already taken steps to limit non-essential business travel and will continue to arrange non-urgent meetings via remote channels like video calls or telephone.

We will continue to follow updates and guidance provided by the UK Government and health authorities.

We also continue to monitor the impacts on the UK and global financial markets. We believe that our clients’ portfolios will be under stress right now, but many portfolios have been built with the forethought that such events could happen.

We will do whatever we can to support you at this uniquely difficult time and hope you all stay safe and well.
